My gap toothed beauty

Every time this girl opens up her mouth and smiles, the combination of teeth that seem too big for her head and the gaps makes me grin every time. I love this kid!

Dream Job

Here's a good one. Norah informed us that her imaginary friend, Lisa's dad got a job. What's the job? He's in charge of the doughnuts at church. Jim asked if he got paid. Norah said yes...he gets paid in doughnuts.

Back on schedule

Jim made it back....but who knows where his luggage is. He never got it in France. When he was coming home, he heard that his bag was on it's way to Geneva. Hopefully, it's on it's way back home now, but we don't know.
In other news, the girls are back at school. Last week, Lolo got after me to buy her some long pants for school. At the start of the school year, I only bought jumpers and skirts because my girly girl only likes to wear jumpers and skirts. Unfortunately, mean kids at school are saying something about it and now she's feeling pressure to wear pants. Ugh.
Here's a double ugh. Lolo lost another tooth. Apparently, word is getting around at school that the tooth fairy may not be real. When her tooth came out and she was getting ready to put it under her pillow, Lolo says to me "Mom. I know that the tooth fairy is you!" Really? Hmmm. Interesting. If it's mom, then there's no pressure to leave money under the pillow right? Oops. Quick back pedaling. Still leaving the tooth for the "tooth fairy."

Another big day

Another big day for Norah. It's the first time she has really "skated" on her own. Last year, she spent more time crawling around, sitting in her chair, and pushing the chair around the ice. This year, she's motoring around on the ice by herself. Lolo is awesome as always. Norah was ready to come home after about an hour and a half. Lolo didn't want to leave. Luckily, our neighbors were out there too and she's hanging out with them while Norah is down for a quiet time.

In other news, after Norah's quiet time, we're going to head out and pick up Jim. As Lolo informed me....after we come back from a trip, we ALWAYS have pizza. Since Daddy is coming home today from a trip, we should go out and have pizza for dinner. Hmmm. I like the way she thinks :-)

Off the Leash

Big big day for Norah today. Swim school and then we headed out for a little skiing. Norah got off the leash today. Unfortunately, I had a bit of camera trouble. The camera zonked out part way down...I'm missing about half of the video. I think it got too cold. Video below is all that was salvageable. Sad for me because Norah skied all the way down by herself and managed a great stop at the bottom!

And yet another milestone

My baby girl is growing up. This week, Norah informs us that she no longer is going to use her purple booster. The request was "Mama, please get rid of it." She's growing up too fast.

Just a few more pictures

I'm probably the only one still jetlagged....going to bed right after the kids and waking up about 4am every morning still....
As you can probably see, it was a very busy week in Rome....a very successful pizza, gelato, and "ruins" tour. When we were driving Lolo to school this morning, she was still talking about the trip and how much she enjoyed looking at the "ruins". I was so surprised. Just last year in Cambodia, the "ruins" brought her to tears. Amazing how much kids develop in a short year.

Tummy troubles

I should mention that it may take longer to get the pictures up this afternoon. Norah got sent home from preschool today with tummy troubles.

Rome Report

After grueling lines at the Rome airport, we did manage to catch our flights home. Luckily, the second security check (where every carry on bag got hand checked) took a long time and as a result, we even had time for a final cup of coffee and pastry.

Will be working on uploading pictures later on today...but here are a few starters to whet your appetite..
