Vikings in Colorado!

The girls (and Jim) loved this toy store and pizza shop combo. Norah kept wanting to go back. Kind of makes you wonder why there aren't more toy stores/pizza shops.

Moving on...

Norah's got a new boyfriend. His name is Grant. He wants to be a pirate when he grows up. Lovely. On a brighter note, Norah announced she wants to be a doctor. (Jim was beaming). Lolo wants to be a dentist and pull teeth. Norah starts cracking up about eye doctors....and wondering....do they pull eyes? Hmmm. My daughter the eye doctor....dating a pirate. Arrrgh. Our dinner conversation deteriorates from there.

A couple more pictures

Flower girls

A few pictures from my cousin, Ann's wedding. The girls (complete with tiaras) were a wedding highlight. The only children at the wedding. And certainly the only girls who stayed to dance and party at the reception. Yes, we let the girls stay up WAY past their bedtime and they danced the night away. Belles of the ball. Got people who don't normally dance (I won't name names, but you know who you are) to get up and boogie. It was quite impressive.

Updated Family Video

Here's an update to our family video below. Apparently, someone noticed the camerawoman had been left out. Yes, the cameragal really does ski.

Norah's home today being a big helper. Ran errands with me this morning and reported to her dad that we stopped at a store that was "all orange". Any guesses? We made a stop at Home Depot.

And a note

For the record, Norah and Nicolas announced they are going to get married. You might want to check out the little boy in the video.

Another video

Here's the video that I made for our neighbors...slightly different. Not so much focused on our kids. But certainly, I couldn't leave them out :-) You'll notice our Lolo's jumps are quite a bit different in style (and air time) compared to their kids. Did I mention she is skiing Taos black diamond runs (steep & bumpy) and is now using poles?

Here it is. My first attempt at movie production. Still a little rough around the edges but I think it gives you a bit more flavor from the trip than previous trip video snippets. Overall trip report....Taos was excellent. Fresh snow when we first arrived and our share of blue skies as well. We had signed the girls up for group lessons, but they both ended up with private lessons all week. Lolo zipped all over the mountain with her instructor. And Norah was easy to spot in her zebra helmet. At the end of the week, I lost count of all the people who stopped us to tell us that they had seen our kids zipping all over the mountain. Jim and I took ski lessons all week as well. He hiked up the ridge every day while I managed 3 hikes during the week. The house we rented was outstanding. Right outside the mouth of the canyon.

So this video is very centered around our family. I've got another video that I'm creating for our neighbors that went with us. I'll upload that sometime too. That one still needs work.

Taos

Yes, I know. I need to upload videos. Working on it. Got new video editing software that I'm learning how to use. Will upload a video later. I've been working on it all day....to the detriment of the other things on my to-do list. But in the meantime, a few photos to tide you over.
