Lutsen

We're back from Lutsen. Nice to sneak in a pre-Taos tune-up trip. The highlights? This was the first time the girls skied in the trees or as the girls like to call it "the magic forest". The girls also skied their first black diamond run....Norah on a leash and Lolo independently. Granted, it's a midwest "black"...but it was a solid dark blue anywhere else. Jim and I were impressed.

Gearing Up for Travel

Just made last minute plans to take a quick ski trip up north to Lutsen for the weekend. Can't believe we've been here for 5 years and haven't made it up there yet. Back on sunday.

The girls (and I) have discovered the books on cd section at the library. Woo hoo. Our car travel time has become significantly more entertaining....helpful, considering my current daily drive time. Seems like just the other day my primary job was diaper changer/laundress and now I've become an expert lunch packer/chauffeur.

The following weekend, we're leaving for a week at Taos. Norah is finally old enough for ski school, so we will have BOTH girls at school for the week. The intention is to make a bunch of ski videos....so when our gals are being featured in an Olympics story....we'll be able to provide videos of our gals ripping up the slopes ;-)
More traveling will follow in March, but we'll save some suspense for you. But here's a hint... girls in beautiful white dresses in Colorado Springs (and also party dresses...because beautiful girls require outfit changes).

Happy Chinese New Year

We went to see Lolo perform in her school's chinese new year show today. Simply outstanding. Our Lolo's class performance was the best out of the whole school and our Lolo was the best in her class...brag, brag...unbiased observation ;-)
