Lightening bolt

Here's something eerie that happened this morning...Jim and Lolo are in the living room. I'm cleaning up the kitchen. Earlier, it had been thunderstorming but just gray skies at the time...when all of a sudden....BOOM! I see a flash of light. Jim sees a streak of orange and blue fireball of light out of the corner of his eye. We were all startled by the exceptionally loud crack (except Norah who incredibly enough slept through the whole thing). Jim and Lolo run to the window....a huge tree across the street got zapped by lightening and was laying across the street. Amazing. Kind of scary if you think about it.
