The girls and I have been taking care of Eileen and Julia's frog while they are on vacation. They brought over live crickets and mealworms (we now have live worms in our fridge). The past couple of mornings, Lolo has been very excited about feeding the frog a cricket. I, personally, have been a little less thrilled about the whole thing. Unfortunately, the crickets are dying fast and we'll be making a trip to PetsMart later today.....last night I told Jim about our cricket situation and he inquired "Do you think it's a coincidence that the crickets die after a day in our home?" (We checked on the web and they are supposed to have a 3 month lifespan). As he said "I thought your black thumb was only for plants. I didn't know it extended to animals as well."
On a more amusing note, Egon, our house cleaner, who is from Brazil, came over yesterday and saw the frog....he said "Mmmm. That's good eating, but it's too little."
