Quick Trip Report

Norah's down. The laundry is running. A moment for a brief look at the past week in review.
All in all, it was a very nice trip. Boat rocked a bit. There are times where I still feel the boat rocking even though we're at home (but perhaps that's related to my migraine).
Lolo thoroughly enjoyed the trip....loved the kid's club (she got to make necklaces and bracelets out of beads).
One night, we were sitting down for dinner. Norah finished early and was wandering around with PoPo. An older couple sitting near us noticed Norah and started cooing over how beautiful she was. Lolo didn't like that at all and had to actively put a stop to it by dancing around and saying "Hey PoPo, this is all about ME!" Oh boy. Our primadonna.
First stop was to Saint Maarten. We took a taxi from the Dutch side over to the French side and then a ferry boat ride over to Pinel Island where Lolo learned how to snorkel. It was a nice stop. I don't know that the St Maarten is worthy of a week's vacation, but it was a nice day stop for a cruise.
Next day was to St Thomas. We managed to charter a boat before we left and the captain took us to Little St James (where PoPo, Lolo and Dad snorkeled while Norah napped on the boat), then to a beach in St John for some time on the beach and body surfing for Lolo (you wouldn't believe how much sand she brought back onto the cruise ship in her swim suit), a brief stop to pick up a quick lunch in St John, out to a private bay for some swimming and lunch, then out to another nice spot for some snorkeling before heading back to St Thomas to catch our ship. Excellent day. Both girls were exhausted and slept on the taxi ride back. We're undoubtably going back to St John for a week.
Last stop was to the ship's "private" island....which was really just a beach the cruise company rented from the Bahamas so they could make more $$ off of us. Ick. But the girls had a great time playing in the sun, sand, and water.....and considering that it's December and we were warm....well, I don't think there's really too much to complain about there.
Now, back to reality...sounds like the next load of laundry is calling my name.....
